Solutions

On this small island, we need to find a way to live sustainably, where people, the environment and the economy can thrive in this and future generations. We need a shared vision for our collective future and to develop strategies based on shared values.

These are my proposed solutions for some of these issues which affect us should I be elected to serve George Town North.

Cost of Living:

  1. Remove import duty on more items, especially essential items for the elderly, women and children.

  2. Review health insurance premiums pricing and standard fees and expand coverage for the most vulnerable.

  3. Incent, facilitate and increase the supply of affordable, for sale and for rental housing.

  4. Replace and expand the network of public transport to achieve higher quality and reliability.

  5. Review and adjust the minimum wage.

  6. Introduce community-based solar panel systems to lower electricity bills.
